YGeeker Team Achieves Great Success at AdventureX 2024
Innovation with No Boundaries, Dreams Set Sail
Think, create, and transform. This is a hackathon for young people. Here, we can foresee more like-minded individuals, more well-rounded people, and better ourselves.
The AdventureX 2024 Hackathon was successfully held from July 15 to 19, 2024, at the Lakeside Innovation Center in Hangzhou. This five-day event attracted over 200 innovators and technical engineers under the age of 26. Participants had to form teams on-site and complete a high-intensity project within 72 hours, covering the entire process from brainstorming, prototype design to coding, and project presentation.

At the Lakeside Innovation Center in Hangzhou, a grand gathering of young innovators is taking place. The AdventureX 2024 Hackathon attracted over 200 innovators and technical engineers under the age of 26, who engaged in a marathon of brainstorming and coding within 72 hours. For the YGeeker team, this was an unprecedented challenge and opportunity:

Journey of Innovation
The train was delayed, so we changed plans and took a flight. We arrived in Hangzhou late at night and stayed at a nearby guesthouse.
On the afternoon of the first day of the event, we entered the Lakeside Innovation Center. The center is a beautiful place, and you can learn more about it through this Wiki.
In this cradle of innovation, we encountered many tech pioneers. On the first afternoon, we saw many sponsor and track provider booths. I saw many familiar companies/teams, such as Dark Side of the Moon, Digital Litchi, Sugar Factory, as well as MathGPT and a game development team from Beijing No. 4 High School that Rene was particularly interested in. The unveiling of five themes and 27 tracks during the opening ceremony opened up infinite possibilities for us.
After a night of brainstorming, our project "Dali" was born. It is a groundbreaking personal AI assistant that integrates AI, tools, and database technologies, achieving long-term memory and autonomous coding capabilities.
During the intense coding phase, we devoted ourselves entirely, even working overnight. Fortunately, the thoughtful logistical support from the organizers provided us with strong backing.
On the last day of the exhibition, our product attracted significant attention from participants, track providers, and investors. On this day, we also met teams like SanZhi, Race, who provided us with much help. We are grateful to all friends who critiqued our product and offered suggestions. We won first place in three tracks, with total prize money exceeding 200,000 yuan.
The workshop session opened new horizons for us. We had in-depth exchanges with industry leaders like Baidu, Linear Capital, and ZhenFund, gaining valuable technical guidance and development suggestions.
Insights and Reflections
AdventureX 2024 allowed us to witness the diversity of innovation. Here, everyone is a unique individual with their own stories and characteristics. We saw tattoo artists, long-haired programmers, LGBTQ+ individuals, elite employees from big companies, and overseas returnees... They all interpret innovation in their own ways.
There is no fixed pattern here, only endless possibilities. It is this diverse atmosphere that nurtures true innovation.
This competition showed us more well-rounded individuals. The "rebellion" of hippies means they are definitely not "most people." Unlike the environment within Chinese education, everyone here has their own story and uniqueness: they can be rebellious youth with sleeve tattoos, long-haired straight men, LGBTQ+ individuals, employees of big companies, or international students... everyone has their own story and personality.
Geniuses are definitely not most people, or rather, those cultivated by the standards of most people are ordinary. It is foolish to limit the development of geniuses by ordinary standards. Therefore, I respect everyone with their own personality, their own understanding, and the LGBTQ+ community.
They all have their own stories. What impressed me most was the startup team behind the "Bonjour" card. Their co-founder did not go to college but received an order worth 100,000 yuan on-site. There were also brothers whose main business was selling wigs in Africa, university student startup teams like us, employees of big companies, and even high school students... The core team of the organizers were also high school students. Here, I saw a group of "minorities" who broke away from the "majority" in Chinese education and became more well-rounded.
The Best Hackathon
AdventureX 2024 set a new standard for hackathon events. It was not just a competition but a platform for inspiring and colliding ideas. From four-star hotels to 24-hour technical support, every detail reflected the organizers' dedication.
This experience showed us a broader world and made us full of expectations for the future. AdventureX 2024 was not just a competition but an opportunity to change the trajectory of life.
